Come to the Keshen Goodman Library in Clayton Park (Halifax) this Saturday April 9 at 2:30 for a free concert sponsored by the Halifax Jazz Festival and Halifax Public Libraries. I will be performing a brand new set with my new squeeze (my accordion) and Andy will be joining me on guitar.
There are still a few tickets left for this show tomorrow afternoon!
Our very first Piaf show was on Valentine's Day 2015 at the Noodle Guy in Port Williams NS. Seemed like a good fit! This year we are performing two shows, one on Saturday February 13 at 8pm at Lane's Privateer Inn in Liverpool (NS!) and one on Valentine's Day which is Sunday February 14 at 7pm at The Carleton in Halifax. The Carleton we know and love, Lane's we've never been to but both venues promise wonderful food and Lane's also features overnight accommodation. For more information and to reserve your spot, please visit their websites:

Well, as much as I will miss the year 2015, from what I hear 2016 promises to be even better! I thought I would welcome in the new year with a little song at the Night Kitchen (a wonderful variety show that takes place monthly in Wolfville), on Jan 2. As long as I can remember I've wanted to learn the song O Sole Mio, it's just so joyful! And also, ever since visiting Switzerland in 1998 I have been eyeing the Chromatic Button Accordion. In 2015 these two things converged so this is my CBA and O Sole Mio debut! The accordion is digital believe it or not, and I've been working really hard on it these last few months so keep an eye out for more accordion in the future.
Thank you Stephen Cooke for publishing this article in the Chronicle Herald, leading up to what would have been Piaf's 100th birthday on Dec 19 2015. Andy and I performed two shows for the occasion, one in Halifax at the Carleton and one in Wolfville at the Al Whittle Theatre!
It was lovely to sing to a full house at the Carleton, and Stephen Cooke also caught the below action shot from that show (posted to Twitter)
Bon Anniversaire Édith!
Lots of new things this year, new website, new show, hey, why not a new instrument? Here is my piano accordion debut, to celebrate the new, performed at Night Kitchen in October. A song made famous by Édith Piaf bien sûr!
